  They gave me an account when no one else would. I had a previous dispute with another bank and they were not willing to budge on the issue where they had held a deposit back and let a bunch of stuff bounce. So they were never paid. Woodforest gave me a starting over sort of account. I have now been with them for many years and the account has only been overdrawn once. They moved me up to their regular account type years ago. Their fees are few but the ones they have are easy to understand and you will find no surprises. I started my account at New Circle Rd North west walmart but have found I like them better at Grey Lag Way. Best of all, most deposits are immediately available on your debit card. They do not usually hold funds for them to clear and if you have a good relationship with them they will not even put a hold on person to person third party checks. I love this bank. My only complaints are that New Circle Rd does not answer their phone and will not call you back. If you can, deal with them at Grey Lag Way.

  This bank is just like every other rip off bank such as , Chase, PNC, 53... the list goes on.. They charge a large fee to keep an account open, they will not give you the authorization codes for your transactions which is illegal, and they are trying to say that my checks from my immediate family members require a 7 day hold..
